THe 2024 season will be dedicated to Les Brown. Nine Choreographer and 14 Dancers will pay homage to Leslie Brown who left us to early at the beginning of the year. Les had been with Ulysses Dancers for many years as a dancer and as a choreographer. He lost his battle with cancer but never lost his smile and humour. At his funeral, some of the senior dancers performed a tribute to him in dance, using some of his costumes and signature move. Now they will have the opportunity to further their thanks to him for his dedication to the company, to dance and friendship.
Tickets are on sale for Ulysses Dancers' 2019 contemporary dance season now. Matisse will be showcased at the Ann Roberts Auditorium at 213 Stanley Street from the 20th - 22nd June 2019.

The 2017 season "RED" was wonderfully successful. Thank you to the 48 dancers who gave their time, energy and talent. Thank you to the 3 choreographers who gave their vision, passion and skills. Thank you to Andre for leading the production, visuals and exhibition and thank you to all other volunteers from those hanging posters to those cooking sausages and everyone in between!
A special thanks also goes to our sponsors and audience members. The community supporting performing arts in Townsville is really quite special. We can't wait to see what unfolds for the 2018 season! Ticket for RED are now on sale from Ticketshop.
RED promises to be a great season with 48 local contemporary dancers coming together to take the audience on a journey of excitement, passion, anger, joy, laughter and more. |
