2017 SEASON
​RED

The performance of Red was at the Riverway Arts Centre from the 22nd June - 24th June 2017. Attracting larger audiences that ever before, Red was a huge success.

Red is the colour of blood, of love and of joy, power and anger. What does red mean to you?

This question was explored in the production of "Red”. Red brought to life on stage a fusion of red-inspired characters, emotions and movement as expressed through contemporary dance. Animated by some familiar favourites; from the Red Queen to Little Red Riding Hood, and inspired by the passions evoked by the colour red, Red wove a tale of life, love, humour and betrayal.

Red marked the 10th anniversary of Ulysses Dancers and brought together 48 contemporary dancers from ages 13 – 40 years under the guidance of Artistic Director Jane Pirani and two young choreographers Cassie Steen and Shaughn Pegoraro.

The 2016 was a huge success with Ulysses Dancers paying tribute to Ann Roberts. 

Four pieces were produced for the season; Pas de Quatre, Les Sylphides, Graduation Ball and Disorient Express.
