RED promises to be a great season with 48 local contemporary dancers coming together to take the audience on a journey of excitement, passion, anger, joy, laughter and more.

Red is the colour of blood, of love and of joy, power and anger. What does red mean to you?

This question is explored in this year’s production “Red” by the contemporary dance group; Ulysses Dancers. Red brings you a fusion of red-inspired characters, emotions and movement as expressed through contemporary dance. Animated by some familiar favourites; from the Red Queen to Little Red Riding Hood, and inspired by the passions evoked by the colour red, Red weaves a tale of life, love, humour and betrayal.

Red marks the 10th anniversary of Ulysses Dancers and brings together 48 contemporary dancers from ages 13 – 40 years under the guidance of Artistic Director Jane Pirani and two young choreographers Cassie Steen and Shaughn Pegoraro.
